Paragraph No.
2.33
1.1 Do you consider that the South Lakeland District Council Land Allocations DPD is legally compliant?
Yes
2.1 Do you consider that the South Lakeland District Council Land Allocations DPD is sound?
Yes
2.4 Use this space to explain your support for the South Lakeland District Council Land Allocations DPD.
These representations have been made by PFK Planning on behalf of the Heversham and Leasgill Housing Action Group.
At the earlier consultation on emerging preferred options we argued, inter alia, that it was not appropriate to formally allocate land in the designated small villages and hamlets for residential purposes. We are glad to see that the District Council has accepted this argument, it being noted that in future development will be predominantly on small sites to meet identified local needs. In our view this approach is supported by policies contained within the new National Planning Policy Framework
3.1 If your representation is seeking a change, do you consider it necessary to participate in the oral part of the examination?
NO, I do not wish to participate at the oral examination
3.2 If you wish to participate in the oral part of the examination, please outline why you consider this to be necessary.
We would wish to participate in the oral part of the examination on this subject but only should others put forward proposals to reintroduce the idea of allocating housing land in designated small Villages and Hamlets.
