1.1 Do you consider that the South Lakeland District Council Land Allocations DPD is legally compliant?

These representations are put forward by PFK Planning on behalf of the Carlisle Diocesan Board of Finance, owners of the site
Greenodd/Penny Bridge are jointly identified as a Local Service Centre where provision is made in the Core Strategy for small-scale housing development. The 2007 Housing Needs Survey identified a need for new affordable housing within the Parish. This site relates well to existing dwellings within the village, is of a size capable of accomodating the scale of development required, and realistically is the only suitable site of those suggested for development. Its development can be carried out to meet the key issues identified in paragraph 5.63. and without detriment to the character, appearance and solemnity of the adjoining St Mary's Church.
