Pennington Parish Council unanimously agrees with Ulverston Town Council with regard to its opposition to the SLDC Local Development Framework and backs the town council’s following resolution:-
‘Ulverston Town Council considers the LDF in its current form is unsound, unfair and lacks transparency. This council questions the need for six thousand new homes in South Lakeland now the Regional Spacial Strategy has been removed by the current government. We ask that SLDC halts the publication of the LDF, pending implementation of the Localism Bill and introduction of neighbourhood planning.’
