1.1 Do you consider that the South Lakeland District Council Land Allocations DPD is legally compliant?
Yes
1.4 Use this space to explain your support for the South Lakeland District Council Land Allocations DPD.
The proposals are well founded and generally in line with the strategic aspirations of the area. The Kendal Futures Board generally supports the proposed allocation for employment land but expresses concern about the lack of B8 use on the proposed sites. B8 use remains a strategic aspiration for the town and heavy lorries already travel past all the proposed sites. The Scrogg's Wood and Burton Road sites will require a development brief and this might suggest that B8 could be sited, with strict conditions, in less sensitive area of the sites. Kendal Fell Quarry could be another solution to B8 allocation in the future.
2.1 Do you consider that the South Lakeland District Council Land Allocations DPD is sound?
Yes
3.1 If your representation is seeking a change, do you consider it necessary to participate in the oral part of the examination?
NO, I do not wish to participate at the oral examination
