Please explain your reasons
In meetings of the Lancaster Canal Restoration Group of which the Trust aand the SLDC are both members (David Sykes/Jane Kendall) it was clealy proposed in the Kendal Canal Head preferred options Northern Reaches Phase One report that this plot of land was to be developed as the Natland Road Maintenance yard and Cranage wharf. This is an essential & necessary feature for any final restoration of this Phases.
This parcel of land is now proposed for employment use in the current LDF proposals. The Trust would like the SLDC to give assurances that this land is still not available for redevelopment other than for the purposes aleady stated. Such developemnt may give rise of course to some emplyment opportunites within the yard and its facilities
