Please explain your reasons
Sedgwick doesn`t have a lot to offer in terms of facilities. No shop,no doctor,no pavements, a limited bus service which is being withdrawn at the end of April 2011 and very little local employment, the builders employ about 4 people and Raines Hall Farm employs seasonal workers on minimum wage at the Maize maze. If Sedgwick is to grow then it would make sense to expand the existing settlement around the housing estates already built and build on RN175 and RN18, rather than allow haphazard expansion of the village by permitting development on other sites. The houses in Sedgwick are expensive and a large proportion of the population is elderly. If development were to take place on these sites then it would be nice if an option for affordable housing and a play area could be included so that young families may be attracted to the village
Do you think that your area needs new or improved community facilities? If so, what sort of facilities and where?
Please explain the types of improved and/or new community facilities your community may need in the next 15 years
a play area for children and young people appropriate to all ages, presently we have a few items suitable for toddlers but nothing for older children
