Please explain your reasons
Ulverston is a small rural town, which attracts numerous visitors throughout the year, extending the housing boundries within the town, will spoil the whole area, as it will introduce more traffic on the small winding roads.
All the schools are full to bursting as are the amenities, where will all the new people go?
The town other infrastructure (i.e. sewerage, electrical, gas etc) is on its limits and some of the proposed sites are prone to flooding so building on these will move the problem elsewhere.
There are enough empty shops and retail buildings within the town, which need to be filled before even thinking about expansion, where will all the new householders work?
The new houses will probably end up being holiday homes, which lay empty for most of the year with no money being spent in the town.
Leave Ulverston as it is and support / invest in the existing people of Ulverston.
