Please explain your reasons
I am opposed to the large scale development proposed in land allocated as MN25M for the following reasons:

The scale of the development is inappropriate in the area. Whilst Kents Bank has expanded in the last 40 years, this is the largest scale of development within Grange area and is of a scale unprecedended. It would effectively merge Kents Bank with Grange and would extend Grange to form a ribbon development with no distinct boundaries - no green zones of any significance would exist.

A mixed development will increase traffic into predominantly residential areas, particularly with industrial units suggested. A small degree of additional residential building would be much more appropriate and would allow a more appropriate organic growth of the village.

The impact on a green field site is inappropriate; the effect on wildlife would be highly detrimental. Birds of prey common to the area around Kirkhead Tower use the area for hunting; their habitat destruction is unecessary and breaks ecological integrity. Other wildlife is abundant in this semi rural area, and would be compromised by the size and nature of development proposed.
Do you think that your area needs new or improved community facilities? If so, what sort of facilities and where? Please explain the types of improved and/or new community facilities your community may need in the next 15 years
Pedestrian and cycle route - off road between Holme Lane and Church Road Allithwaite. If any further residential development takes place in Kents Bank, this will become even more essential as the road lacks footway in various places.
