Please explain your reasons
I oppose the development of the site R686SW because it would result in unacceptable safety implications and congestion due to increased traffic along Park Road and Swarthmoor Lane and turning onto the A590. I have lived in this road for 16 years and the amount of traffic has increased exponentially and that is without any further housing developments. There are genuine concerns that Swarthmoor is at risk of turning into a densely packed conurbation with few facilities and ever decreasing green spaces. It could also mean the destruction of mature trees which provide a habitat for wild life, are frequented by bats and enhance the appearance of Park Road. In addition it will mean the houses directly opposite the field will lose all sense of privacy and the view which is one of the main reasons for buying these houses especially since they don't have gardens.
Do you think that your area needs new or improved community facilities? If so, what sort of facilities and where?
Please explain the types of improved and/or new community facilities your community may need in the next 15 years
The community does need improved facilities, the play area needs more equipment and the Church Hall in Park Road which is frequently used is in real need of updating. Since the local shop went there isn't really anywhere where you can just bump into neighbours or other people from the village.
