Please explain your reasons
I believe site RN109M to be totally unsuitable for housing development for the following reasons:-

• The extremely busy A590 trunk road would form a barrier separating this development from the rest of the village, to the detriment of the people living there, in particular the children who would be confined to their own estate.
• The quality of life for future residents, children in particular, would be seriously affected by the noise and air pollution generated by traffic on the A590.
• The increase in traffic generated by this development would create an even more chaotic situation at the busy Cross a Moor junction than presently exists.
• Pennington School is fully subscribed and since it is likely that children living at RN109M would have a strong case for admission to this school it follows that the children of families living in the village would have to find other schools.
• This site currently, by any reckoning, would be classed as prime farmland. It is in constant use…sheep grazing throughout autumn and winter to lambing in spring…dairy herd grazing during the early summer followed by at least two cuts of silage. It surely isn’t intended that this quality of land is taken out of production in such difficult economic times.
• There doesn’t appear to be any support for this development other than by the landowner and his immediate family and associates.
• There are offers of land in the Main Road area that would accommodate any houses the council feels are necessary, without being impacted by the A590.

In my view RN109M should lose Emerging Option status immediately, before any more public money is wasted on it.

Please explain your reasons
These sites are already owned by a developer and as such are available for development, unlike R686SW, which has not been nominated by the landowner. According to the developer, the cause of the drainage problem at RN105 has been identified and a solution is possible. Solving the flooding would be of benefit to everyone whether or not they were interested in any development and I believe this is a good enough reason to support these sites.
These sites are free of the issues repeatedly raised by opponents to the development of RN109M.
