Please explain your reasons
As a resident living near to the proposed sites I oppose the allocation because
1)This field slopes down considerably and poor drainage from the proposed field (RN 109)results in the rear of our garden and garage being flooded along with a rat problem and on several occasion blocked drains.
2)There is the probability the new housing will be attracting a migration of people into the area along with all the problems associated with a rapidly expanding population, adding to an already overcrowded, sprawling housing estate which adds nothing to the character of the area.
3)The creation of jobs will not benefit the local community only those who are employed to build the proposed houses. When built where are the jobs to come from to enable people to buy these houses in this unstable economy.
4)A large concern for any resident in this village is a busy and dangerous road. The a590 provides a thoroughfare for many a speeding motorist although a 40mph speed limit is in place.Trying to get onto the a590 from one of Swarthmoors junctions can take approx 10mins and the junction of Kingsley avenue(r684sw) is no exception. The junction of cross a moor suffers from traffic congestion most times of the day.I feel it would be a considerable danger to increase this congestion by using this to access the proposed development but a greater concern would be the traffic increase near to the primary and nursery schools. We have a great community where children can still be children and travel to school by bike or walk with friends. As a parent I would be more concerned about the dangers created by the increased volume of traffic around the school lane.
5)At present the nearby primary school is full to capacity and I am lead to believe this is so for approx the next 5 years
6)traffic lights/crossings would need to be looked at
