Please explain your reasons
I am dismayed to see that it is proposed to build 99 new dwellings in a village which for many years has been a quiet and picturesque settlement of around 150 homes. I am oppose the development as many of the access points will be onto narrow roads and other residential areas which are not designed for the volume of traffic.
I am in the category of people who need local and affordable housing. I fear that any new housing in the area will be neither affordable nor occupied by local residents encouraging a lot more commuters wanting a countryside dwelling close to the motorway. I feel affordable housing can be erected on these small infill sites indicated on the development plan but so far ignored. Most of the development appears to be on sites RN118M and R168E which will be a far too large concentration in one area.
We also need to look at the environmental impact the new build will have, taking away valuable agricultural land and the loss of habitat for many species of animals.
Currently the village of Heversham has no shop or secondary school. The development plan states we have both.
