Please explain your reasons
1. I do not support this allocation because this side of the A590 is not an Ideal extension to the village community for the following reasons.
2. The only access both in and out of this site is along Kingsley Avenue and Rufus Lane. Rufus Lane junction with the A590 is very tight and can be very congested with parked vehicles on both sides of the road, (this restricts vehicles from passing) right up to the junction, so much so that emergency vehicles could struggle to get through.
3. During peak periods I personally have had to wait up to 5 min. at the junction waiting to turn right onto the A590, with vehicles queuing behind me, this can create a dangerous situation with no space for any vehicle wanting to access Rufus Lane from the A590.
4. These situations are real now, with the existing 12 houses - 23 vehicles on Kingsley Avenue and an additional 15 vehicles which are parked on Rufus Lane by householders from Ulverston Road etc. (vehicles park on both sides of the road allowing single line traffic only) - with the addition of another 35 houses and a possible 60+ vehicles this could create a very congested situation and another accident black spot.
5. Any further extension to Kingsley Avenue would be running downhill. The existing sewer flows in the opposite direction and at the lower end of the avenue (the end of the cul-de-sac) is close to the surface and would probably not accommodate any extension.
6. The access to village activities in most cases would mean having to cross the A590 which is not ideal from the safety angle. Bearing in mind this is the next busiest road to the M6 in Cumbria.

Please explain your reasons
1. I support this allocation because this land would be an extension to an existing development (Crow Tree Farm and Trinkeld Farm) which already has an access road in place.
2. It is in a good position for access to the road network, the A590 junctions can easily be avoided at the busiest periods.
3. Most village activities can be accessed easily without having to cross the A590.

1. I support this allocation because this is the by far the most suitable site and would be a natural extension to the village.
