Housing
Oppose
Please explain your reasons
Oppose housing on this site for the following reasons:
development would extend the village boundary northwards beyond the current built up area;
difficult access and increased traffic on Milnthorpe Road;
removal of hedgerows and loss of biodiversity (the hedges are used by a colony of tree sparrows, which are a red listed species of the highest conservation priority).

Open space
Support in part
Please explain your reasons
Support the use of this site as open space but am concerned about how the site will be managed?
The site has considerable wildlife potential and would benefit from management of the hedgerows, tree planting and the creation of some wetland/pond habitat to increse biodiversity.

Housing
Oppose
Please explain your reasons
Oppose housing on this site for the following reasons:
would lead to overdevelopment of an area beyond the current built up area;
the site is very prominent in the view from Farelton Knot and development would adversely impact on the view.

Housing
Oppose
Please explain your reasons
Oppose development on this site because:
the suggested number of houses (152) is much too large and would create an unacceptable increse in traffic and strain on local services.

If none of the above then please state here what your comment is about
Proposed housing allocation in Holme
Please explain your reasons
The suggestion of approximately 287 new houses in Holme is too many. Holme has already seen an increase of 283 new dwellings from 1991 to 2009. Any further significant increse would lead to an unacceptable increse in traffic and an unacceptable strain on services and would alter the character of a semi-rural village. Any further housing development in Holme should be small scale, limited and in keeping with the character of the village.
