Please explain your reasons
I wish to register my objection to the affordable housing plans being proferred for Burneside. Firstly, as I hope you are aware, field M38M is in trust to the WILLINK trust. This as I hope you are also aware states that if this field has any change of use it must be agreed by at least 70% of all the villagers. I am certain that you do not have anything like this level of agreement.
I would also like to point out that the road structures are certainly not up to the level of the traffic that this develpment would bring. We would lose our little village roads which are a part of the Burneside village, which is one reason why myself and many others live here. Also Burneside has had serious flooding in the last few years due to poor drainage. Obviously more housing would put further strain on the drainage and river systems which are already creaking. Also the sewage system could not possibly cope with any more burden, as it is not coping now. Ask the people on New Road in Burneside what happens when we have heavy rain, raw sewage comes bubbling out of the manholes. There are many empty town centre properties, surely it would be sense to fill these first before building any new properties?
I stress you think again about this development and urge you to check the legality specifically with reference to the Willink Trust.
