Please explain your reasons

I am opposed to the development on a number of points listed below.

Due to the overlying height of the new development will result in a loss of privacy.

The proposed entrances to the new development via Kendal Parks are narrow and congested and will take up car parking spaces on an already over congested estate and will increase traffic dramatically onto the estate and Oxenholme Road, which is also subject to increased building and sports development. The Kendal Transport Assessment also indicates that if this site is built on the combined effect would mean that more access points will be needed and recommends development should be avoided.

Both National Grid – Gas network and United Utilities have serious worries over the major investment needed to combat against the collection of groundwater and serviced investment needed, and advise against development as unfeasible.

The new development will obscure the boundaries between Oxenholme and Kendal and will result in the coalescence of the area and the West Coast main line railway.

By allowing a development of this size, will dramatically decrease the amount of green space in the area and with the size of the estate and surrounding estates already built, and the proposed new developments on Oxenholme Road, will have a devastating impact on the social life of the residents in the area due to NO or little green space parks available.

In previous Land Allocation Development Plans this development raises serious issues and concerns over highways, water fouling, detrimental effects on existing landscape and properties, road safety, over development and increased through traffic. I am opposed to the new development because in my belief none of these issues have been addressed and will have a huge impact on the residents of Kendal Parks and surrounding estates, and urge the council to look and favour other development sites.
