Housing

Please explain your reasons
The houses proposed, in the density proposed will be too expensive for locals. It is a sensitive green field site, very close to the National Park. Significant increases in traffic for Gillingate and Queens Road which are already congested. There are potential problems of surface water drainage towards the Ghyll.

This site is situated on a visually sensitive area of Kendal Fell . Any development would be clearly visible from the paths over the Racecourse to the Scar . The site becoming overdeveloped for one which is adjacent to the National Park. There are other sites in town of similar size in less sensitive areas.

Proposed Household Waste Recycling Unit at Kendal Fell
Other (as specified above)
Oppose
Please explain your reasons
This unit will cause an increase in the volume of traffic on Gillingate and Queens Road, especially at the weekends There will also be an increase in total mileage travelled for the users over the current site. There are also likely to be problems arising from the interface of household traffic of the recycling unit with the heavy goods vehicles of the waste transfer station. Again this is the overdevelopment of a site in a sensitive area adjacent to the National Park.
