Please explain your reasons
Right, let's look at the facts.
Fact 1:- The north area of the field floods after heavy rain creating a large pond. I have photos available.
Fact 2:- There are wooden poled pylons carrying extra high voltage lines crossing the site, not telegraph poles (which carry telephone lines) as stated in the site visit.
Fact 3:- The three narrow cul-de-sacs are really not suitable for extra traffic.
Fact 4:-Is Valley Drive, and its side roads, already the road with the most number of house on it in Kendal? resulting in a large volume of traffic, both accessing the dwellings and as a through route to avoid the main streets of Kendal.Do we really want more?
Fact 5:- We were the first to buy a plot of land on Valley Drive in 1975. We chose this site very carefully because it was flat, southern aspect at the rear and most importantly at the end of a cul-de-sac adjacent to what was then known as 'Green Belt' and shown on our sales document, which I still have from Russell Armer, as Public Open Space.
Fact 6:-Yes we are all protesting because we don't want to lose our 'view', we know we have no 'right' to a view, but do we want to lose this amenity which is enjoyed by many people, not just adjacent properties?
Yes we know facts 1 to 3 can be overcome by various means but we hope you will give all the facts serious consideration when deciding the future of RN117M!
