Please explain your reasons
The said land is a green field site and was never included in any plans for further developement.
The land suggested is a haven for wildlife.
Bats are regularly sighted in several places across the said land.
Many mature trees grow in the area.
East Drive, where the access point would have to be for a developement, I believe, would be unsuitable for a potential twenty plus more vehicles as it is a narrow access road serving Birkrigg Park.
As there are no pathways and ALREADY many child pedestrians, a further potential twenty plus more children would certainly mean further danger and a certain threat to their health and safety.
A developement, I believe, would have a huge impact regarding traffic safety.
The traffic speed restriction which is 30mph at the crossroads where Red Lane, Carley Lane, Green Lane and Horse Close lane meet, is NEVER enforced and hardly ever adhered to. Road users already use it as a "speedy" cut through in order to avoid the A590.
The junction where Carley lane meets the A590, where the speed restriction is 40mph, again is very rarely adhered to thus making what is already an extremely dangerous junction, a potential accident black spot!
There are concerns over how the existing sewerage facilities will accommodate further dwellings?
Do you think that your area needs new or improved community facilities? If so, what sort of facilities and where?
Please explain the types of improved and/or new community facilities your community may need in the next 15 years
The bus service serving Birkrigg Park should be continued. Traffic management measures should be enforced.
