Please explain your reasons
An area (ref RN4 on map) in the walled garden of Bridge End, for potentially as many as 8 housing units, at least a third of which would have to be affordable, was approved in principle by the Parish Council at a meeting held on 7th March 2011. It was noted that a formal planning application would need to be put forward before any development of this site could take place.

Please explain your reasons
It was agreed at a meeting of Barbon Parish Council on 7th March 2011 that area R3 on the map could be developed in principle, as it would suit one or two affordable units, though it was noted that the size of this plot is too small to be formally included in this Land Allocations Development Plan consultation process.

PS9
Open space
Support in part
Please explain your reasons
At a meeting of Barbon Parish Council held on 7th March 2011 it was agreed that the area PS9 on the map designated as Public Open Space needs to be corrected to Amenity Open Space (no public access) with the exception of the churchyard around the Church which should retain a Public Open Space designation as there is no public access to any part of PS9 other than the churchyard.

Update to Parish Plan issued in 2011 - see notes below
Do you think that your area needs new or improved community facilities? If so, what sort of facilities and where? Please explain the types of improved and/or new community facilities your community may need in the next 15 years
The original Parish Plan was issued in 2005 and parts of it have been used in the "Barbon - Fact File". The Parish Plan has been completely updated and the 2011 version was adopted by the Parish Council on 7th March 2011. There are numerous comments in this plan about the facilities in the community. I will email a copy of this Plan to Alastair McNeill for you to consider its contents and recommendations in this consultation exercise.
