Building on this site would take away the only green space in this part of the village, changing its character.
No safe vehicle access is available - too close to dangerous junction at Four Lane Ends.
People living here would have to cross the A595 to get to school and shop.
There are mistakes about this site in the Kirkby Fact File which were used to justify its inclusion.
This is not really "rounding off" or "in-fill".
A pressurised sewer runs through this field - United Utilities do not support building on it.

Please explain your reasons
This site was rejected for housing by the Planning Inspector on appeal some years ago. Nothing has changed since then.
The site is too close to the dangerous junction at Four Lane Ends for traffic safety.
Askew Gate Brow is too narrow at this point for two cars to pass.
Residents would have to cros the A595 to get to school, playground and shop.
The owner should not be rewarded with development status for making a mess of this fieled and never re-instating a secure boundary as stipulated by the Planning Inspector.

Do you think that your area needs new or improved community facilities? If so, what sort of facilities and where? Please explain the types of improved and/or new community facilities your community may need in the next 15 years

Please explain your reasons
Part of RN170 was added late to the consultation, according to the Parish Council.
It is not suitable for development, being a slope and having a power line crossing it.
Safe vehicle access onto Askew Gate Brow is impossible because 1) the land is 2 metres above the road preventing good sight lines and 2) the road is a steep hill at this point.
There are no pavements for pedestrians on Askew Gate Brow.
Residents would have to cross the A595 to get to shop, school and Community Centre / playground.
Mistakes in Kirkby Fact File were used to justify this site.
Sewage would have to go via the already over-loaded Sandside pumping station to be pumped up to Four Lane Ends.
According to the Parish Council the water supply to this area of the village is not good.
Use of this site would not really be "rounding off" and it is not good on "relation to existing communities".

Please explain your reasons
such a large scale development is not needed. Instaed we should be proposing scattered small developments. This field should remain farming land in keeping with the rural character and separate settlements nature of the village. Being on a slope it will over-dominate the area around Four Lane Ends.Vehicular access through Burlington Close is not good.

Please explain your reasons
We do not need large-scale development in this village, only scattered small scale development over a number of years.Field RN12 is needed by the tenant farmer and should NOT be built over. Any reduction in their land area may make the farm unviable and could threaten the livelihood of more than one family.
