Please explain your reasons
Kirkby in Furness is characterised by dispersed cluster of smaller settlements, each with their own distinctice character and names. Development of the land proposed to be allocated would consolidate the settlement, nucleaat in a way in concictent with its historical development and thus adversely alter its character
Junction by the pub has very poor visibility which it is difficult to improve because of the close proxomity of buidlings around it
Askew Gate Brow is very narrow and could not accomodate the increase in two way traffic which would result from the number of dwellings proposed - would create a safety issue for pedestrians - no pavement
the density fo the development at 50 ha is very high for a rural area - lead to a crowded form of development - small gardens, have a very urban feel. Also lead to an increase in the population which would alter the socio-economic mix. Could be problems integrating inflow of new residents into what is a strong local community.
New dwellings close to Devonshire Terrace/Askew Gate Brow would impact on the amenity of the people living in that terrace unless there is an extensive separation distance with the new dwellings and they be single storey in height (which would require much lower density to achieve).
development would also damage/destroy important local views of the estuary and Black Combe
