Please explain your reasons
1. Despite bland assurances from Council officials that all necessary steps will have to be taken concerning the serious drainage issues, especially on site ref E30, I have absolutely no faith that these will be adequately addressed or resolved. Flooding is endemic in this area given the topography and development will mean the excess water moves somewhere else. It will not simply disappear. My own particular concern is that Next Ness will be adversely affected.
2. I refer to table 6 of the Screening Report
3. I refer to the Sustainability Appraisal and the interesting observation in the Built Environment section stating that the hamlet of Next Ness would be "obliterated". What exactly are Next Ness residents meant to make of that? Does this not lead to a massive and permanent planning blight on our homes? Will SLDC provide full and fair compensation for this outcome?
4. I refer to the Sustainabilty Appraisal stating that site E30 is a "UK priority habitat".
5. The only positive points points mentioned to me by council officials were that the sites were close to the A590. Hardly a ringing endorsement for this plan to proceed. By all means encourage additional employment but try a bit harder to locate it on a better site.
Do you think that your area needs new or improved community facilities? If so, what sort of facilities and where? Please explain the types of improved and/or new community facilities your community may need in the next 15 years
A proper theatre. Excellent though the Coronation Hall is, by its very (all-purpose) nature,it does not provide adequate facilites that would encourage top class touring theatre. A pipe-dream of course!
