Please explain your reasons
I am writing with regard to the proposed development at the rear of clawthorpe hall.I am concerned that any development of this greenfield site would be detromental to the surrounding area.My concerns are as follows.
Building outside the area of the original clawthorpe hall farm would leave no disernable green gap between clawthorpe hall and clawthorpe hamlet this would cause the hamlet to loose its identity and could possibly lead to a future in fill development.
The problems with flooding on the A6070 would be exasperated due to the extra surface water from the site.
Access to the site.If access is via clawthorpe lane the lane is a 60mph single track lane with a blind crest next to the site.
The limestone pavement which is now largely covered although limestone outcrops can still be seen runs from alby wood to the far side of clawthorpe hall this would be lost forever if the development was allowed.
The proposal for B1a development (offices)requires assesment due to the close locality of three buisness centers all of which are advertising offices to let.In addition to this clawthorpe hall has already had planning consent passed for two office blocks which have yet to be built.
The amount of traffic would increase due to not being in walking distance from either burton or holme and there are no footpaths or cycleways on the A6070.
In conclusion I feel an appropiate assesment of this site has not been carried out.
