The 2 sites R21 and R69, if developed would adversely affect the landscape especially if viewed from the north or east. Moreover there is no need to extend the village to the north when there is vacant and suitable land nearer to the village core and in a position where landscape intrusion would have a much lighter impact.
Notes on the map that has been provided
The 2 sites R21 and R69, if developed would adversely affect the landscape especially if viewed from the north or east. A less intrusive area for development would be land immediately south of Quarry Lane in Allithwaite which is also nearer to the core of the village.

MN25M is a huge area which, if developed would change forever the ambience of Kents Bank. Moreover it contains wooded parts used by wildlife which would be isolated or destroyed depending on the development detail. The scale of this proposed site is too much for the area. Employment/light industry is not appropriate in this area which is residential. There are other sites where employment and light industry would better fit e.g the old airfield area of Flookburgh. White vans and associated traffic movement associated with light industry would be seriously detrimental to this residential area. The employment aspect of the proposal should be dropped and the scale of the residential development scaled back.
