Please explain your reasons
This site is probably the only feasible site that has been suggested for new housing in Burton-in-Kendal in the current LDF Consultation. The site is reasonably level and importantly it would be easy to create safe access to and from the A6070.
The site would not have to cause huge amounts of extra traffic through the village or add to parking problems.
A sympathetic development with careful use of trees could enhance the approach to the village from the south and give it a new defined southern boundary.
Burton-in-Kendal needs new housing now and will certainly need new housing in the future; the recent success of job creation at the Clawthorpe Hall Business Centre, the Dalton Hall Business Centre and The Stable Yard, Dalton Hall means that high quality jobs are now available locally.
