Employment
I do not support any plan to include and new greenfield sites for commercial developments in Endmoor. Developing further commercial units in Endmoor does not support the character of Endmoor as Rural Cumbrian Village. Extending the village northern boundary does not support the planning department’s criteria for a "satisfactory edge to the village". But instead increases the potential for Endmoor to link up with Summerlands and Low Park via continued urban sprawl.

There are already too many commercial sites in the neighboring satellite villages and hamlets which include Gatebeck, Summerlands, Crooklands, and Moss End. Many of these have been empty for a long while. Also plans to include business units in the new Auction Mart development just off the A590 have already been approved which is better serviced by the Motorway and by-pass, thus reducing traffic through the local villages. But if additional commercial units are still required, then why aren't brown field sites being developed such as the "proposed crematorium site" to the west of Gatebeck at the Gatebeck crossroads.

If any such development were to go ahead, great care would need to be taken in landscaping the area between the existing development in Sycamore Close and any new development.

All access to the area would need to be made from the A65 road

Housing:-
I do not support the proposed plan for hosuing development. Extending the village northern boundary with another housing development does not support the planning department’s criteria for a "satisfactory edge to the village". But instead increases the potential for Endmoor to link up with Summerlands and Low Park via continued urban sprawl.

Any future housing development would need to be of a reduced density of no more than 35 houses to satisfy the target market with a mix of housing and more open spaces and with great care taken in landscaping between the existing houses in Sycamore Close.

All access to the area would need to be made from the A65 road.

Alternatively the Fishing Tarn field on Gatebeck Road could be more suitable for housing development with the natural contours of the land helping to blend any development into the landscape as opposed to the proposal in the field adjacent to Sycamore Close which would both stand out and extend the urban creep of the village boundary.

Has consideration been given to including some housing development along side the planned Auction Mart development or using the brown field site at the Gatebeck crossroads (the proposed crematorium site)
